Yes you’re not reading it incorrectly and no, it’s not a typo. I’ve already starting researching themes for Emma’s 4th birthday party, which is in May next year.
Call me bored, insane, over enthusiastic or sad but I love PARTY PLANNING. I think I should be a party planner in my next life. Sadly I have no idea what a budget is and what one’s supposed to do with it.
As far as themes go, I prefer going with a more ‘generic’ theme which incorporates colours and decor as opposed to a specific character.
Emma’s first birthday was a Hello Kitty themed get-together. Because it was a very small gathering with friends and family I did very little (yes I’m not always over the top) with a Hello Kitty pinata, plates, cups and a few treats.
Birthday number two was a Dora the Explorer party and I got one of those party companies to do everything. Emma loved it, but it’s not about Emma is it? It felt a bit mass-produced for me with no personal touches.
Birthday number three was a labour of love, with a theme based on ‘woodlands’ and I did everything, with the help of Danielle from Moemas and it was awesome. I loved it! And that’s what matters.
So birthday number 4 I’ve decided is an ICE CREAM party and I’ve already spotted little goodies I can make for the event.
This particular party was for twins turning five, so I’ll have to adapt things accordingly for Emma’s. Below are some pics…
Now I need to go and make a phone call to book a venue. Excuse me please!
